AO in Florida said: “I just found out after inquiring with the IRS about my tax return status (I had not recieved my refund) that someone else filed a tax return under my name through H&R Block HSBC. A refund was issued to someone who fraudulently filed a refund with HSBC Tax Masters in New Castle Delaware in my name apparently using my private information.

DT in New York said: “I filed my taxes at a H&R Block office in Rockaway Beach New York, on February 13, 2009. Since then I have not received my refund, therefore I have to take legal action to receive my money. The tax preparer did not explain the correct information to me and H&R Block has not contacted me regarding this issue.”
On a day when H&R Block reports good profits, AH in New York said: “I have had nothing but problems with H&R Block and HSBC trying to receive my tax money. Every representative i speak with has no information on my account. Its been 7 weeks and still no money. H&R Block basically says its not there problem. I will never go back and I recommend anybody that wants a professional tax service should go somewhere else. Both businesses seem like they want to take money you have worked for. My family did their taxes online and received their money with no problem and now im stuck not receiving anything that is owed and no one has any answers. HSBC and H&R Block both say not their problem. They were quick to take their money though.”
