AN in Florida said: “I have been receiving calls 3-5 a day on my cell phone from these people. I am not late on a payment and am on the DO NOT CALL LIST. How can they be stopped? The number that comes up is 800-395-2274.”

AG in Nebraska said: “So far HSBC has called our house 10 times a day and night. Right up until 10pm. They have begun to threaten repossession of my motorcycle. They lowered my wife’s credit card limit which put us over the limit…Jeezus will they ever stop harassing us? We made a deal with them on two credit cards and now they are threatening to repo my bike over the outstanding balance on those accounts.”
DL in Maryland said: “I’ve recently been getting A LOT, and I mean A LOT of calls on my cell phone (no land line, I only use my cell) from the phone # 1-800-395-2274. When answered, I would get the computer “please wait for an important message” line…then it would either hang up, or, well, anyway…. Long story short, I finally Googled the number, low and behold, HSBC credit card company. OK, I’ve (unfortunately) got a few of their cards, and have never been late on a payment. I was puzzled at what the deal was as to why they were (are) calling me (and I mean anywhere from 5-10 calls a day!), and on top of that, would never leave a message. Well, wanna know something…..have any of you been getting calls from this number? Just type the above phone number in the google search box and look at the results. Read what everyone says. Seems I’m not the only one.”
TB in Rhode Island sends this suggestion: “There’s no doubt that HSBC is in blatant violation of both State, and Federal harassment laws. Keeping logs of all incoming calls is too time consuming, and frankly, doesn’t stop the calls. I have therefore taken a measure that worked for me, and if enough VICTIMS of this sort of harassment do the same, will probably end these NAZI tactics.
