SS in Texas said: “I was charged double [by HSBC] for the month of December. I was not late with any payment. I have sent one scheduled payment for this month. Please make the necessary adjustments to my account. I will thank you in advance. I do not expect there to be any involvement with my credit standing.”

AC in North Carolina said: “I pay every month on time and usually pay at least $50 extra. In the rare occasion that I am a few days past due, I get several phone calls a day bullying me into making a phone payment even after I have informed the representative that I have scheduled or am about to schedule an online payment. I have rarely been more than 7 days late. I always refuse and have to hang up while they are still talking. HSBC promised that the “daily phone calls will stop” if I only give my bank information and schedule the phone payment.

BD in Virginia said: “I am able to review my account information on-line but cannot make a payment on-line or change profile to update information. Therefore, we have to call to make payments and be charged a $15.00 fee. Although, I have sent a letter and called requesting statements be sent to a new address and new e-mail address, this has not been updated. I have not received a statement in over 6 months and cannot make payments on-line.”

RS said: “I always send in my payment by check on time and when i received the following bill it showed that they never received the payment from my bank. HSBC said the payment was returned for insufficent funds, HSBC tacked other late fees also. I immediately called my bank to see why the check wasn’t paid and they told me that they have no record of HSBC asking for payment on that specific check.

TM in Texas said: “HSBC is still running a scam! Why doesn’t the law prohibit this by NOW? Third go round for us with a Best Buy purchase (shame on us). Even knowing going in to this last purchase about the scam they run, they still got us.
