CE in Illinois said this about trying to pay HSBC Finance on line: “Pay on line servce does not operate. In these times that is totally unacceptable.”

RG in New Jersey said: “I make my payments online every weeks and they hold the monies for an average of 2 weeks. The money comes out of my bank on the day I set up the payment, every time I call them to question that they don’t have an explanation. All they say they have to verify funds. I have had 2 credit cards for almost 18 months using the same bank account and they always take payments out. their web site states funds will be drawn the day you set up payment. I make payments to continue the use of my credit card but when I get denied for purchase when I have made my payments it get frustrating! their has to be some sort of law to protect the comsumer, if we were to wait 2 weeks from the due date to make payments we would have to pay a late fee, how can they sit on our payments for 2 weeks and collect intrest on it, if they did this to 1000 card holders they are making alot of money in intrest… Please Help!”

T.P. in Illinois said: “I have 3 accounts with HSBC. They cut their payment time off early on Friday’s and if
your payment is due on a Saturday or Sunday you need to schedule your payment two or three days before the Friday otherwise they will charge you a late fee or you can pay that same day for 15.00 more. What a ripoff.”

RD in Texas said: “Success! I submitted a complaint to the OCC and got back a letter detailing what I was to do if I did not receive satisfaction on the $15 HSBC charged me to pay online. I also talked to 2 nice people at Bose who were very helpful. The day after I got the letter from the OCC I got a check from HSBC for $15. Don’t let those thieves keep your money. If they get to keep yours they will try to keep everyones.”

LR in Florida says: “The hrsaccount is not accessible by internet. This situation is unacceptable. Using customer service means a $15.00 charge. The representation to pay online is false.”
