CW in Wisconsin said: “I went online to pay my bill and my password and username was changed. I have them both written down in my Franklin and I wasn’t allowed to make a payment, I am out of town so I will be late. Also I could not reset my password as my address was incorrect, but I haven’t moved in 3 years. This is a joke.”

MB in Oregon said: “I’m having the same problem as many other HSBC customers. I try to make a payment online and it won’t let me in. I’ve called HSBC Finance customer service and all i get is a run around. I also get paperless bills so i’m supposed to get bills online and haven’t received one in 7 months. HSBC wants me to make a payment over the phone and charge me an additional fee to do so. They can kiss my a– before i give them anymore then they are supposed to get. All HSBC wants is to rack you up with late charges so that they can get theirs and then some. Well - not from me. Is there an attorney out there that can help all of us being screwed by HSBC or are we all just going to take in the a– like they want us to?”
TS in Pennsylvania said: “I could not access the HSBC online payment site, finally I did the next daywith the help from CS. Payment due FOLLOWING day but they will not process today so I’m late. $39 late fee for paying the day before? OR for $15 you can have them take an express payment. What a ripoff. I am in the process of filing with the FTC, all others should do the same, maybe they will change/fix the problem.”
LH in Missouri sent this short, but accurate, statement that many HSBC customers will agree with: “Their [HSBC's] online billpay is a joke, they are doing this to make more money (late fees), like they do not have enough money already! They need to fix it now!”
WM in Massachusettes said: “I recently paid my GM (HSBC) credit card bill online on the due date (in the morning). Checking my account the following day I was astonished to see a $49.00 late fee had been charged to my account, it seems they now require payment two days prior to the due date to avoid a late fee. How can they legally charge a late fee for an on time payment? Paypal buyer credit also does the same thing.”
