AO in California said: “I am another victim of H&R Block and HSBC. I submitted my income tax on January 16, 2009. I never asked for an advance or a loan or a rapid refund. I clearly stated to H&R Block that I had no problem waiting for my refund been deposited directly into my bank account.

JM in Virginia said: “In 2005 I bought a computer from best buy using and HSBC account, after making about half of my payments on time I was deployed with the Marine Corps and I fell behind on my payments. When I returned 6 months later I found that my account was in collections. As soon as I received this information I called the bank and paid the balance due and everything was fine, except for a mark on my credit for being late, which is to be expected because I was late.

When I last checked my credit report, I found that HSBC reported that I was over 60 days delinquent. After verifying that I didn’t miss anything, I too, receive mail from HSBC reporting that I owe nothing. This company sucks… Thanks to them my FICO score went down!”
PT in New York said: “I live in upstate New York. I read your article on this company and let me tell you they have taken my money. My loan balance never dropped. I took a hardship and they said it will go on the loan, not interest. I paid almost $5000 and my loan balance never came down. I am a retired disabled vet. I spent 25 years in the Army and this is what happens to others and me. Who do you know that is sick of this and wants to help? There is more to my story and I could use it for sure.”
RC in Missouri said: “I had a motercycle financed to me in 2006 and owner fininanced that bike to someone else. I bought another in 2007 and have had numerous problems with HSBC and just thought it was me. You cannot use online billpay in Iraq it won’t work, even if your on the phone with a representive at the time, they make you feel stupid. I was activated in Nov 2007 to come to Camp Bucca Iraq. It doesn’t matter how early you send your payment in, it will always be day late, with late charges they charge interest on. So you use the phone, (their online doesn’t work) and they charge you there. HSBC Finance will not lower my interest rate to 6%, I sent them the paperwork 3 times, its always lost. And still I thought it was me. My owner financing went through on the first bike and I took over payments of it financed through Kawasaki (which is really HSBC) and the same crap. I’m in Iraq and they are my biggest worry.”
