PG in Oklahoma said: “I have been trying for 4 months for someone to explain to me why I am being assessed a late fee. When I originally obtained my line of credit loan, I requested the unemployment insurance (in 2005). I had 3 years of on-time payments (mostly more than the required amount) and when I was laid off in 2008, I had to request the insurance take over my payments.

MO in SOuth Carolina asks: “HSBC payment protection, I am overwhelmed and flabbergasted by this company….they have made it impossible to meet their requirements. I have to ask does HSBC own the payment protection company? If so is this not more than a little crooked?
To add insult to this injury they have outscourced all the jobs to some foreign country.”
JH in California said: “I bought an apple computer in Sept 08. It was stolen from my car while unpacking. I had bought their insurance from Best Buy. I filed the claim and sent all paper work to HSBC. When I called customer service I got someone in India. Previously I had sent all paperwork requested via U.S. Mail. I was told HSBC didn’t receive it.
RS in Colorado said: “Your payment protection plan is a joke. I was told that it would take 90 plus days to get a decision but continue to make payments. Are you for real? If one isn’t working due to medical and not earning income how do you make payments to begin with when you aren’t earning money. 90 plus days? If I was late with payment I would hear from you immediately. I am a disabled vet and plan on going to the world wide web to each veterans of foreign wars locations to let them know what is happening to me and to advise not to use any company associated with your company.”
SB in Colorado said: “HSBC’s lack of response is an understatement. I have tried for months to make them understand that my townhouse is covered under a blanket insurance policy. They still want me to pay over $1,700 for their policy. It looks like I will need an attorney now. Does anyone know the personal address of the Chairman of the Board, President, and/or any other people at HSBC? They need to know how their company is being handled by the employees.”
