CA in Canada said: “I recently called HSBC customer service because I was complaining about the past due amount of $97.00 which I don’t deserve. They didn’t send me the statement that I should be getting every month for 3 times. It’s a good thing that I was able to pay them on time by just relying on my own memory. I even called them to inform them about not receiving a statement but still I didn’t receive any statements from them. On the third month I made a check to pay the balance in full to close the account and I also included a letter to formally state my reasons for closing it.

They have also missed payments that have been made. I pay online and had confirmation numbers, I was charged interest on late payments even after I proved they were made.
