My unemployment insurance is on hold because my school did not report to the state that I was a student and part of the worker-retraining program. Because I have no income, I have not been able to pay my full car payment. My parents have been able to help, but HSBC doesn’t care that I can only pay a portion of my payment.

RT in Missouri said: “On 08/05/09 I called HSBC auto to cancel a postdated check they were holding, because the representative said that this was an option. I confirmed with the rep 3 times during the conversation that the payment was cancelled and would not be processed. On 08/21/09 this payment hit my bank causing 5 over draft fees and 3 returned checks, 1 not being HSBC’s payment. For 3 days I have been trying to get them to reverse the payment and am getting the runaround. In the meantime I am left to try and cover these fees and have no money. I need help”
