DK in Arizona said: “I bought a Yamaha atv in 2003, financed it thru Household Retail Sevices on 577 Lamont Rd, Elmhurst, IL 60126. I recently sold the Yamaha, however I cannot find title and when I went to MVD was told there was a lien still recorded. I need to find out how to get a lien clearance (notarized) to complete transaction”

RV in California said: “I paid off my 1997 Yamaha years ago and Household Bank still show as the lienholder on my registration. I need to get them off my title. They are impossible to get a hold of as they have many, many DBA names under household. Can you help?”

Rg in Nebraska said: “I bought a Yamaha motorcycle in Norfolk Nebraska. I used HSBC to finance it. I had paid off my loan with HSBC and figured the title should be on its way. The title never did show, so the phone call’s began along with the run around from numerous people at HSBC.

The car is worth about $14000 now, and was about $20,000 new. I was making my payments at 29%, being told by the shady car dealership if I made my payments on time for a year then they could be lowered.
