BM in Pennsylvania said: “I just got the worst phone call from HSBC – claimed they’ve been emailing me bills and I’ve ignored them. I didnt even know I had a balance. Funny thing is that as soon as I went to the site to pay it immediately (after they told me I couldn’t – that I had to WAIT for the next bill), the first thing they forced me to do was confirm I wanted electronic delivery! To set up the bloody account to send the bills via email! NO PAPER BILLS NO ELECTRONIC BILLS NOTHING! So they’ve tacked on late fees and screwed with my credit report – I will never deal with them again! The confirmation emails got through ok so I know the spam filter didnt stop them! Just the ignorant company lying to me.”
