Beneficial HSBC Group Bounces Checks
FP sent this report: “I opened an account with Beneficial HSBC Group, by depositing a check they sent to me. The check cleared my bank account, and Beneficial HSBC Group sent checks for me to use. I wrote checks on the account that cleared, however, I was called by a representative to come in to signed the loan agreement. The representative had the wrong documents, and had to reprint the correct ones. I asked her if I was signing documents on the account I had with the check I deposited, and she said yes.
I found out she closed the account without my knowledge, and one of the checks was returned back to them. I was not called about the returned check, nor was I told she was closing the account. I now may be in legal trouble over this check, and I had no idea it had been returned. I paid the check right away, but now have to take a bad check writing class. I do not write bad checks, and I’m very upset about the problem she has caused me. I want to launch a big complaint against Beneficial HSBC Group, and the representative.”

In a follow-up FP added: “I posted a email earlier about a Beneficial representative, and failed to mention that she closed the account, and then reopened with a new account number.”
All I read here is a bunch of people who cant pay their bills are compulsive spenders and cant control their finances. Its very easy to complain when something goes wrong, but at the time the money seemed very green. Dont blame HSBC for charging high originations fees and third party fees. Blame that mortgage broker who stuck you in a 2/28 or 3/27 hybrid arm loan and got his buddy appraiser to appraise your home for more than what it was worth. Furthermore, you probably didnt qualify for the loan so the broker made up paystubs and W2’s for you. Think about this for a fact why didnt the mortgage broker put in a fixed rate when rates were low?? At least beneficial gave me a fixed rate my payment goes down every year and I came out of closing with my documents in both english and spanish(not done by any other lender). So stop whinning and start paying your bills on time. If you have a problem with high interest rates then throw that offer in the trash. No one is obligating you use and to some idiots saying “they bounce checks” If you read the agreement or call the company before you use it then you’ll know how it works. For the guy that says insurance sucks and is meaningless? Why dont you ask someone that has used and ask them if its meaningless? Your the same dumbass that doesnt have one dollar in his savings account.
long term beneficial employee
All I am reading is about consumers who have terrible credit, can’t afford their loan (probably because they charged up the credit cards that HSBC paid off) and they want to blame someone because they are financially irresponsible and they refuse to blame themselves!! I agree that it is completely ridiculous and unfair to blame HSBC when as a consumer you do not pay your debt on time. Also, why blame HSBC, you are the one who cashed the check, if you could not afford the payment you should not have cashed the check. Also, I know plenty of Lenders that if a consumer tries to do a payment over the phone or internet after 4pm the payment gets credited the next business day so why is this an issue? There are branches all over the US, go pay your bill in person!!! Also, how about not waiting until the last second of your grace perid to pay and pay ON TIME!!!! And let’s address the optional insurance complaints. The insurance is stated many times in every approval call and loan closing that it is optional, in addition, consumers sign an Optional Insurance Disclosure and receive a letter in the mail stating is optional and can be cancelled with no charge within 30 days. Most of these complaints are from employees who were fired for performing below company standard and they want to bitch about something instead of looking for a NEW job because they FAILED at HSBC. I am proud to be an employee of HSBC becauese I know HSBC makes the right loans to the right customers at the right time!
