HSBC Forgets To Send Bill For Interest Free Promo End
DR reported this to us: “I did not receive a bill towards the end of my “no interest payment” plan. I then called to find out if I could pay online to avoid late penalties. I was given the wrong web address to further my frustrations. I’m still trying to get a correct web address - hopefully before my due date.”
Editor’s Note: This has been a constant tactic of HSBC Finance, and before that Household International. It is proof that HSBC did little to change predatory lending after HSBC purchased Household International in 2002-2003. HSBC ran this exact same scam on a member of Household - HSBC Watch in 1997. There was no website back then.
