BC in Pennsylvania said: “HSBC is the WORST bank I have ever dealt with. Amongst many horror stories, here are the latest TWO: In Dec 2008, I asked for a wire transfer to FLORIDA for $8,000. They sent it to a bloke in Venezuela…Assistance, help,etc., YOU MUST BE KIDDING, this is HSBC Panama. NO ONE CARED!!! It took 3 weeks to resolve. I had to pay the fees; and they NEVER offered to credit my account as would a REAL bank would especially since it was THEIR error.
The excuse was they had TWO requests for that same transfer amount that same day……hello.! But wait there is more: Now it’s January 2009 and I pay them with CASH to pay my American Express Bill: $7,000. I am given a receipt, stamped and signed…AMEX to this date has NOT received the money. AMEX at least has offered me a temporary credit whilst the case is being investigated.
HSBC..well, once again: THEY DON:T CARE, no support, no help, as far as they are concerned, AMEX got it’s money…STAY AWAY FROM HSBC PANAMA unless you want the WORST possible customer service and protection possible!”
