KS in Texas said: “In short, I sent two checks for my last payment, with written instructions on the payment I wanted to credit. Today they informed me that in order to apply a certain amount to a certain interest free promotion, I must call HSBC Customer Service every month and let them know how I wanted the payment applied. They didn’t tell me this when I opened my account and they have been misapplying payments since 2005. I have had to pay interest charges on many items, doubling what I would have had to pay using a different credit card. I think HSBC is guilty of bait and switch.

I also requested and agreeded to pay for a itemized statement of my payments, in November. I was suppose to receive it in 7 to 10 days. I still haven’t received it. I have called them 3 times. At this rate I will never get them paid off. My advice, don’t buy anything at Best Buy or any company that uses HSBC.”
