MS in Delhi India says:  “I have received a pin number and telephone banking pin number,  but still today I have not received my credit card or bank account information.”

Editor’s Note:  India is now the 10th largest profit contributor for HSBC, globally, as against being the 16th largest contributor in calendar year 2005. It had even surpassed other markets like Singapore, Turkey and Malaysia.

HSBC India had reported a growth of 85% in profit before tax to $393 million (Rs 1,739 crore) compared to $212 million (Rs 938 crore) in 2005. Most of the Indian profits for the group have come in from banking operations.
