JS in Maryland said: “Here is another page from the Continuing Saga dealing with HSBC and the Foreclosure.

Update / Editor’s correction dated 15 December 2008: I never once said or indicated that Federal regulator says HSBC delays are factor in foreclosure. If anything the Financial Regulators office helped postpone foreclosure.

Last time I told you I was contacted by Pete Barr from Beneficial Finance Customer Resolution Center called telling me that we qualify for a hardship case. After sending him the paperwork he requested, we found out we did not qualify for a hardship modification. Are you surprised? Reason being and I quote Laura G Allardo from HSBC Hardship department .. “modification was denied due to permanent hardship.” Now, does anyone for a second believe that Mr Barr did not know this before he asked us to apply for a second hardship? I feel these people are just stringing us along. Of course Mr. Barr is sick and it’is not known when he’will be back in the office. Does that surprise anyone?

Realizing I must be my own advocate for this mess I asked someone in the Beneficial Finance Customer Resolution Center about the keys for cash program. I wanted information, nothing more. But, HSBC thought I wanted to give up the house! The investigator from the Financial Regulators office told me they have not received the copies of the loan papers from HSBC. When I asked if not receiving the papers sent up red flags, the investigator explained that sometimes they have to wait and wait for anything they request from HSBC.

I can’t take much more of this. I am disabled and this mess is affecting my health and my husband is becoming more and more depressed. Is it wrong of me to expect HSBC to take so responsibility? Is it unrealistic to think that we might get some forbearance or a settlement? It’is like these people want us to roll over and give them the house and all we have gone through does not matter. HSBC is now saying the short sale that they refused to respond to does not matter. It’is what is happening now that they are concerned about. Help, I’am tired of dealing with these idiots, and want this done without feeling like we are being screwed. I do not know what do.

This is a wonderful Christmas for our country. The rich keep getting richer and those of us who are classified as the middleclass poor keep getting poorer. We have government officials indicted, over government giving our money away with no regards to how it will be paid back, and the big wigs of our country look the other way as they hold out their hand,
and a government not caring about us. There will be no Christmas in our house, HSBC will celebrate joyfully without giving any thought to us. I hope HSBC big wigs will give their loved ones a great Christmas with our money, because now we have none to give our loved ones even a meager Christmas.”
