Customer Asks Is HSBC Stupid or Just Thieves

MR asks:  “HSBC is constantly calling my house and never leaves a message. I finally answered because I knew who it was. They claimed our account was two months past due. All of our payments are current and have been made every month by electronic check. I had the same experience with another account with HSBC and had to pay off and close the account. These people are either stupid or just thieves. They are constantly claiming they never received payments and then charging additional late fees. They need to be stopped! How can they be put out of business?”

  1. You are not alone. We have gone through the very same thing. We are now in the process of paying them off and I received a call today claiming we haven’t made a payment in 3 months (I have and have internet confirmation numbers to prove it). Caller also claimed that we had not contacted them (we had, new mortgage company also had). Since the very beginning with this company it has always seemed that the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Glad we are out of there!

  2. HSBC have got rude and misleading staff within the company.  I do hope that if you are a young person aged between 16+ please read this and do research on the bank you wish to be with especially with HSBC. I have been rudely spoken to, I have been mislead by numerous of staff in HSBC. So please do not have anything to do with HSBC.  Get OUT and DO IT NOW. Tell them someone called RAJIV said so and I have seen how much you can charge in one month against the LAW (£150.00)

  3. Im with you on this, I recieved a copy of my credit report and noticed an HSBC NV account which I knew nothing about, They told me I opened it but I desputed it, back in 2001 as of today 3/22/07 It is still on my report for 500.00 the same amount it got up to when I noticed it and cancelled the card, it does state at customers request but why is it still messing up my credit, these people dont know what they are doing or how to do anything right, its not fair but nothing i can do…ughrrrrrr…

I currently have a bowling league account and a money market account for my son at the hsbc location on niagara falls boulevard in tonawanda ny. (corner of vinson) My husband had an account at the bank as well. After several negative experiences my husband closed his account. I have continued to bank here only because of convenience…however, each and every time I go I swear I will not be back. This branch is open saturday mornings until noon. Today there were two tellers (as usual) and a line to the end of the ropes…one teller closed off leaving the line to discuss her payroll problem with other employees in the glass booth…now there was one teller to service at least six people in line. EVERY SATURDAY the drive thru window is closed…I bank on tuesdays and saturdays…I understand staffing restrictions, etc as I am a store manager myself…however, if your branch is going to be open on saturdays the ENTIRE branch should be open including the drive thru..and employees should service the customers…this is ALWAYS the norm…not an exception regardless of the day of the week I go…today was at 9:15 in the morning. If this continues I will pull the remainder of my accounts as there are at least seven other banks on this stretch of road.
