MR in North Carolina said: “I purchased a jet ski with an introductory apr of 6.99%. I was late on only 1 payment. Here it is two years later and my apr has jumped to 18.99%. My payments have gone from $152/month to $330/month. To be honest, when I purchased the jet ski, I had no idea that it would be on a credit card. When I purchased the jet ski, it was like purchasing a car. The whole pomp and circumstance of sitting in an office and signing a stack of papers.
My balance has only gone down maybe a little over $1500 since I purchased the jet ski. Ever since my APR has gone up, it seems like they can’t even process an online payment on time. Even though I schedule them before or on the due date. Is there anything I can do??? I just want fair treatment and to pay off the jet ski in good faith, but it seems like they want to make it extremely difficult. I’m trying to find answers as to what I should do before this gets out of hand. Don’t be duped by HSBC Yamaha folks. They are predatory lenders.”
