HSBC’s Beneficial withdraws extra payment
CO in North Carolina said: “Beneficial, who is a subsidiary of HSBC, extracted an additional payment from my account that should not have come out. They promised to pay any bank fees incurred as a result of their error. This occurred back in July. It is now the end of September and I have only received a partial payment. I faxed to them information showing bank fees on my checking account for insufficient funds. HSBC supposedly processed a check on August 12th to cover these fees.
No one seems to know where the check was processed. Every customer service rep that I spoke with promised to call me back the next morning with information but I have yet to hear back from any of them. I asked for a physical address for the research department and they claimed to not have one. They only have a P.O. box number. No one has bothered to issue a stop payment on the check and I have not received my money yet.”
