HSBC credit card wide open to fraud
RB in Oregon said: “HSBC/RC on credit report - What an ordeal to try to sort thru their maze of phone numbers and misinformation. Then HSBC blames the credit bureau reporting agency. They cannot locate two of the three accounts that are listed on my credit report and show the one account that they located as closed due to inactivity. But that does not mean the account is closed, it can be reopened by using the card. They cannot reactivate the account to close it because it is already closed due to inactivity, but if my ex-wife was to use the card it would be honored and the account would be reactivated. Does this make any sense?”
