KP in Colorado said: “Well, I never thought I’d be posting here, but here I go. I was terminated Friday after my DSM and HRM called me into the conference room in the office where I have been a BSM for 3 yrs. Why? I was told I was undermining the DSM’s authority openly and flagrantly and that I was no longer needed. What specifically did I do according to them? They told me:
1) I told other BSMs privately that I was concerned about the overt and unethical push to get my insurance numbers higher, not for the benefit of the customer but because it will offset the losses we’re incurring.
2) I was told my production in my branch reflected my lack of leadership , ie.. % of customers who bought “optional” insurance products was lower than those around me.
3) I was voicing concern about the way customers were being treated from our collection groups/centers. Darn right I was. I have apologized more in the last 6 months than the prior 2+ years because of the rude tactics and outright harrasment. It’s a reflection on me and and did voice that.
I guess instead of solving problems they chose to remove me and ’solve’ their problem.
I’m now out looking for a more respectable career.”
