HSBC phantom phone calls pile on the late fees

OJ in Texas said: “I cannot belive that there is no way to sue HSBC for fraud. I have one of the most blatant cases of fraud to deal with thats cost me my credit rating money and my mental peace. I had a 5k credit card through HSBC, was making payments fine, but then I lost my job. I went three payments behind, got a new job, and wanted to double up and get right with HSBC. I spoke to one of the HSBC reps and told them the auto payments I was making had to be taken from a different bank because I had moved.

I gave the rep the info on the bank using my atm credit card for the banking information. I commit to pay 500 dollars right on the spot and another 500 in two weeks then have a monthly of 250 taken to get the card back in check . Then I get a call 2 months later saying I was behind on payments, that the rep who took my information made a mistake, and cannot take ATM card info for billing purposes. HSBC continued to charge the original bank account even though I told them it was closed.

I incurred more penalties and interest, so I recommit, giving them the info on my bank again, this time from a check. This is where it gets good. HSBC never started auto billing, they charge me monthly as if I’m making phone calls, and I’m not. HSBC says that I’m making the phone calls on the past due date so more penalties. I paid over 3,000 dollars against a 5,000 debt in less than 6 months and the debt is still the same? I told them stop taking money from my account until I could get legal help, and HSBC’s response was to bill me again and charge me a penalty for making a payment by phone. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, ANYONE! HSBC HAS RUINED ME AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.”
