HSBC account secure complaint and minimum hours worked

AC in Ohio said: “Like others I too, signed up for account secure when I received my cards. However, when I became unemployed because of downsizing, and called to activate my benefits, I was told by HSBC that I did not work enough hours. I found out in the application process to activate my benefits that a person had to work at least 30 hrs a week. But I am disabled and cannot work that much.

The things that bother me about all this is:

1. HSBC acted as insurance company and agent. In the process of applying for coverage thier agents do not go over major… very important parts of the policy and make generous general claims they know do not apply to everyone. My father is in insurance and if he had treated a client like HSBC has treated me his license would have been revoked and he would no longer have a business.

2. HSBC is always there to get their money but when I asked for a remedy for my situation no one could answer my calls, return my calls, I still have not recieved a response from my letter. Just a side note to think about… this situation is like taking an application for life insurance then taking the premium every month then when they died saying that they couldn’t recieve benefits because of health issues.. its wrong..illegal and the law says the premiums are returned or benefits paid.

HSBC is a bad corporation!

The only way for HSBC to change is by effecting thier bottom line cut up your credit cards!

Call your congressmen or do something crazy on youtube.

File letters of complaints with your insurance department and better business bureau.”
