Giardinelli and Musicians Friend Linked To Shady Lender
DB in Michigan says:  “In Decenber of 2006 we ordered a drum set and cymbles from Giardinelli on line.   We were told of the date of delivery and it didnt come.  We called them at 18002882334 and was told of another date.  Only the drum set came…no cymbles…it noted on the order form as a back order…We constantly called and was told it should be in on the next truck and given another delivery date each time.  Needless to say we still haven’t recieved it. Finally we called back to cancel the order.

We were going to go to a music store near us but the gentleman I talked to said they have another set there even better and cheaper, so we agreed to that one.  He gave us a delivery date of 2-21-07.  When it didn’t come again I called him and he said I didn’t say I wanted to order it.  I told him if that was the case then why did he give a delivery date then.  Again we made the order and now we have to wait another week to see if we get it.  We told them it was a gift for our grandsonfor Christmas and they said they have no control over it that it was the manufacturer that is at fault.
What can we do? Why can they string us along like that. Their prices are why we keep using them and they know it.  Please, shouldn’t they offer people a better deal when they mess up like that?”
Editor’s Note:  HSBC Finance - the old predatory lender Household International with a new name - finances private label credit cards for Musician’s Friend, which includes musician.com and Giardinelli.  We just hope this customer did not finance anything or the problems will only get worse.  Musician’s Friend is owned by Guitar Center, the US retailer of guitars, amplifiers, drums, keyboards and professional audio equipment products. In July 2005, HSBC extended its long-term agreement with Guitar Center to continue managing the company’s Preferred Player credit card.
