WM in Massachusettes said: “I recently paid my GM (HSBC) credit card bill online on the due date (in the morning). Checking my account the following day I was astonished to see a $49.00 late fee had been charged to my account, it seems they now require payment two days prior to the due date to avoid a late fee. How can they legally charge a late fee for an on time payment? Paypal buyer credit also does the same thing.”
