ER in Washington said: “I have an HSBC account with Mac Tools. HSBC repeatedly does not receive payments my fiance and I mail in, 6 times thus far on this account and 3 times so far on my Bowflex account. We always call them and ask why when the payement was mailed well before the due date are they not getting our checks. The answer is always the same: HSBC cannot track payments with in their system and we now need to pay a $15 fee as a phone payment is required. We have tried to set up an online account for over a year to zero success. My most recent attempt was April 10, 2008.
I’ve submitted a payment for my Mac Tools account which still has not posted and I just received a statement with late fees. My Bowflex account is delinquent as HSBC pulled a scam where they charged my account $15 for a phone payment, making my next payment late which caused all interest to be applied to my account.
I’m really at my wits end with this company. My Mac Tools account has ALWAYS been paid on time yet I find myself paying late fees and extra interest due to the fact that HSBC claims to have not received payments. My balance on both accounts is not going down as we’re paying on the interest rather than the principle every time this happens.”
