RS in Iowa said: “On March 6th I received a phone call from my husband while I was at work saying that my car had been repossessed. I was livid, I had mailed them in $2000, so that I could pay off my car faster. The only thing they let him take out of the car was my child’s carseat and that was only after a 15 minute argument. I called them the very next day and was told my check bounced but that money was missing out of my bank account. So I checked my bank (it turned out to be a bank error).
So I called the man later that day March 7th and explained it to him and I would have the money to them on the 10th when I got paid. He told me that was fine and when they received payment they would release my car, no later then the 12th. I made my payment and called in my reference number. I left this on his voicemail with a message to call me back. I received no call. I continually called and finally reached him on Friday the 14th. He hadn’t even started the paperwork!
On the 17th I called and the lost the paperwork! But he again promised that my car would be released the following day on the 18th. I called, it wasn’t released and they wanted $150 before they would process my paperwork, so on the 19th I sent it. I called on the 21st and was told that my car was released but I would have to drive 10hrs to go pick it up. The HSBC rep gave me the number and vehicle ID number so I could go pick up my car.
I called the auction house my car got transferred to and they haven’t received the release yet, this is the 24th. I call HSBC and was told that no they haven’t finished my paperwork yet and I was just going to have to wait. I called several times throughout the day, was transferred to several supervisors but none of them were at their desks all 14 of them must have been out, left messages with all of them and still havent received a call back.”
