HSBC customer in New Mexico complains of debt cancellation
SS in New Mexico said: “I do not recall signing up for a detbt cancellation program when I applied for a best buy card and I sure as hell would never have agreed to one that charges 12% interest per annum. I have cancelled my card since I was only going to use the “no interest” special for a large purchase. I would never use the card other wise since it has a 21% interest. Lets see add that to the 12% “debt cancellation fee” takes it to 33%!
When I called to complain I was given the run around and asked for my account info and I five times before I was told that I had signed up for it an they had my signature. I doubt it. If they did it was through unscrupulous methods. I was also told that one dollar on every one hundred charged once a month is not a percentage. Hey, you cant make this stuff up. Anyway I sent them what I owed them (no debt cancellation fee of course). I have cancelled the card too. If they try to bill my visa for any I will challenge it and get a new visa card. I will answer any credit report entry. Bottom line, I’m not taking any more of this s**t!”
