FB in Ohio said: “Fell for the 0% interest rate promo. Transferred our Visa balance to a GM Flex Card (HSBC). It took them almost three months to complete their transfer. We received our 1st statement 7 days before the due date and I paid $500 electronically, immediately (well above the minimum payment required). The next statement showed a $39 late fee. My wife called customer service and got the late fee waived. The NEXT statement stated we were being charged $298 in interest; they had raised our interest rate from 0% to 30%, effective immediately. Another call to customer service; they stated there was nothing they could do about it as they had already waived a late payment fee. I paid off the entire balance (including interest) this morning. Don’t deal with these people or any retailer using this company! Go to your local loan shark, on the street; the shark will give you a better deal, and stand behind it!”
