CF in Connecticut send this update: “This is an update to the continuing saga of my fight with HSBC. I met with and spoke to the CHIEF STATES Attorney’s Office for the state of Connecticut, the Attorney Generals Office, the US Attorney’s Office, OCC, FTC and Senator Dodd’s Office, and the Attorney General’s Office for the State of Florida. It is confirmed that my loan violates TILA, RESPA, Title 15 USC, Section 5 and HOPA.
We are going to continue to federal court and sue. HSBC by its own actions has in fact supplied actual proof of the violations in writing and on company letterhead that HSBC has no intention of complying with the law. The Chief States Attorney, after reviewing my documents and taking my statements, contacted the FBI and the US Attorney’s Office seeking assistance on my behalf. The US Attorney has responded and stated that I sue seeking damages under TILA, RESPA and Title 15, Section 5 for both real and statutory which amounts to about $800,000.00 not including punitive damages.
I made an offer to settle out of court and HSBC ignored my offer. The have now hired an additional law firm to fight any lawsuit. Since then the first firm hired to perform the foreclosure stopped by the Attorney General for Connecticut has been found guilty of committing fraud and accepting kickbacks and steering fees in Connecticut. See previous post concerning Reiner, Reiner and Bendett (ambulance chasers of the mortgage industry in Connecticut.)”
