Illinois customer says HSBC is confused about payments due
MH in Illinois says: “HSBC had contacted me about a credit card that was over limit. The only reason it was over limit was that HSBC added a charge and the added an over limit charge on the amount that HSBC put me over the limit. When I called and had the due date changed and paid the minimum that I was told was due, I thought all was good.
I guess NOT because I have had calls at 10:00 at night saying that I owe a large amount due now and the payment is not due. Also today (SUNDAY) I get another call saying I owe a large amount and I owe nothing at this time. I do owe monthly payments, but none that is due now.
I even have a form in my hand that they sent me for my account protection that protects me from late fees and over limit fees. This form was sent to me after I called to change the due date. I will mail it tomorrow, but the point is HSBC had this form sent to me after we had straightened out the account, and I still get calls from someone that has NO idea about my account.”
