I didn’t even apply for the card, but agreed to settle the account to get off my credit. I received a letter from a law firm in early 2007 saying that i owe HSBC $770 plus other fines that were attached. I ended up paying HSBC Card Service $2500 on a card that I didnt apply for and to top it off I agreed to settle the account and did. I have heard several complaints about this company doing settlements, then turning around and have you garnished. I would like to know what legal actions I can take against this company. For the last few months I was living off nothing because of this fraud account and there un-fair business practice. I would like to sue them but I don’t have the funds at this time. Are there any class action suits on file at this time?”
