HSBC credit card payments post late when all others post normally
PG in ORegon says: “Their web site states that you should mail your payment at least 7 days prior to due date.I mailed my paymet to them 8 days in advance. They posted the payment the day after and hit me with a late fee and a late payment on my credit report. I’ve had this card for over 3 years. This also happend 5 months ago also. That time I called customer service and they waived the late fee and late payment on my account.
This time they would not waive the late fee or take the late payment off of my account. I mailed this payment on 11/30/7 at the post office and they didn’t post it to my account until 12/8/07. I cancelled my account two minutes later.
I wish I could prove it, but I think HSBC likes to hold payments a day or two for the extra revenue. They always are trying to get people to pay over the internet.
I did pay 6 other bills on the same day and 5 of them landed at their destination by 12/05/07.
They suck and will not get any of my business ever again. As a matter of fact I going to a lot of Christmas parties in the next two weeks and will relate this story to anybody or group if we start to talk about bad customer service or sleezy tactics.”
