HSBC solicitation vulnerable to identity theft says one

PL in Pennsylvania says: “It would appear that there are no newspapers, magazines, radios, or TVs accessed by the executives of HSBC Bank Nevada N.A., which says it’s the world’s local bank. If they had access to any news outlet, they would know that identity theft is the fastest growing fraud problem in the U.S. Instead, these jackasses sent me an offer that is so easy for thieves to use that it is unbelievable.

The envelope is printed in bright red and black ink. It says I’ve been preapproved for a “generous platinum credit line of up to $10,000.” How easy it would be for a thief to latch on to this envelope and be on his merry way with a huge credit line at my expense. And, it would leave me trying to repair the damage these fools created. I am going to write to them and explain real life to them. I doubt they will understand or do anything. How plum stupid they are! The solicitation is signed by “David Swift, Managing Director of New Accounts.”

Obviously this dimwit does not live up to his last name; he has forcefully demonstrated that he is anything but swift. How dare they put hundreds (thousands?) of Americans with good credit in such jeapody. They need a hit upside the head with a two-by-four! There are no excuses for this except they don’t give a darn.”
