PM in Massachusetts said: “I had fallen behind on my payments and called to set up a payment arrangement. I did and they told me to pay $70. a month and that would preserve my credit rating. I made the 1st payment and two days later, I got a letter from an attorney stating that they didn’t take partial payments and they wanted the whole balance. HSBC had written off my account, ruined my credit and was suing me for the balance. I had to hire an attorney to get this straightened out but my credit is ruined for 7 years because they didn’t stick to the arrangement. I wil never use HSBC again and will tell everyone I know.”
Editor’s Note: It is a little late for this case but we advise everyone to check out Settlement Scams to see how this scam benefits the collector and nobody else. A payment arrangement is a settlement offer.

Ok so say they wouldnt make the payment arrangement. YOU STILL COUDLNT MAKE THE PAYMENT AND YOU WOULD HAVE RUINED YOUR OWN CREDIT.
You put yourself into this situation why should someone else bail you out?!
