JP in Tennessee said: “I have been a customer who has paid ahead of time for well over ten years. Well, wife has cancer and I have been running all over and left the stamped envelope with check enclosed on table until today. Wife found it today and said should this be here? I opened it as I figured it might be a few days late by now. It was 8 days late. I called and offered to pay direct pay/bank and provided check number and routing number, etc.

In short, I have a 29 plus late fee plus a 15 charge for pay by phone over a lousy 117 payment if full. I accept responsibility, but; these charges for one mistake with aforetomentioned cicumstances do not sit well with me. 800 plus FICO scores do not come from making excuses. I will dump this card and GM can take a hike.”
