An HSBC employee in New York sent this: “I am an employee at the HSBC mortgage center in Depew, NY and I must say this is the most unethically run company I have ever seen. The mortgage center is run like a collection call center. The layers of management at the supervisor level are unbelievable. Rate and terms of home equities are not properly disclosed up front to the customers. Employees are rated monthly on how many loans they process and close - they must maintain a certain amount in order to keep their jobs. To that extent, proper customer care cannot be given, and many good customer applications are declined within a 10 day period simply because the employee must look good each month. Many, many gray areas at this company under the current management. I have never seen such “favoritism” played out in a company. You have husbands and wives both working under the same managers and continuously promoted. You have senior managers and groups of staff fraternizing together outside of work regularly. These chosen few are the ones who are promised and receive the promotions. And of course within this group are the married managers who pick out the “new recruits” to sleep with. This place needs to be audited by an outside source immediately! Most of us keep our mouths shut for fear of losing our jobs but things have truly gotten out of control here.”

    I also worked at HSBC in New York City. They lack ethics and behave disgustingly. I emphasize strong favortism towards men. The head of Cash Management Sales is an individual with an obvious “Napoleonic Complex” along with a strong dislike for women in general. Within six months of 2007, all women who reported to him directly either resigned or got fired. He is an insecure child who has been allowed to behave in a way that no other decent organization would tolerate. My experience under him caused me bodily and emotional harm. He lied and became increasingly angry towards anyone who posed a challenge to his ideas. I think HSBC, Payments and Cash Management at 452 Fifth Ave needs to be looked at.

    I have worked for HSBC almost 17 years in the mortgage department. I used to be proud to say I worked for HSBC - it was a very classy Bank to work for. Since Household managers took over with their “different” way of things, everything has changed and I am ashamed to say I work there now.

    all this man said it is true. this bank is a shame. all PEOPLE FROM MTG DEPT SOUTHEAST, THEY DO SEXUAL HARASSMENT, THIS BANK NEED TO BE AUDITED BY A PRIVATE COMPANY. TO WORK THERE IS A HELL. NO RESPECT FOR ANY, THIS DOES NOT COUNT THE SALARY THAT THEY MISS TO PAY ME FOR 6MONTHS. THE BANK HAS NO LAWS. EMPLOYEES HAS FEARS AND MANY STAY SHUT TO REMAIN IN THE HELL PLACE. I BELIEVE THAT THERE WILL BE JUSTICE ONE DAY, AND THIS BANK WILL BE INVITED IN A LAW SUIT. THIS DOES NOT COUNT THE WAY THE DEDUCTION THAT COMES FROM THE MEDICAL BENEFITS. WE WERE BEING DEDUCTED 2 TIMES IN A MONTH,,,IS THIS A BENEFIT? IS A FUNNY PLACE, IS THIS A BANK? I THINK IS A CIRCUS.

    Well I’m sure the best opinion to get is the one from the disgruntled employee who obviously wasnt able to do what other people were able to do and feels that blame should be on everyone else other than themselves. I should have gotten every promotion, I should be the best employee but Im not so they must be racist HAHAHA
