Still trying to resolve monies due me by HFC from 1997 through 1999, I keep getting the run around. I call for Mr. Doby’s boss (North Carolina) they would not give the telephone number to me. Per their legal dept 800-395-5323 there was not anything they could do even when I explained my situation. The legal department said to call the branch in Greensboro NC, so I did and I asked for Mr. Jim Doby’s boss. They would not even give me his name or number. I submitted a complaint to the North Carolina Attorney General. No one cares when they owe you money but God forbid you owe them money. HFC and HSBC call you so much that it is almost harassment. Do not ever believe they care because they don’t. All they care about is the color green! They owe me to date $27,000.00

Editor’s Note: HSBC owes me money from 1999, and they owe many people from Household’s predatory lending settlement. The system of passing the buck, disconnected telephone numbers, and stalling is a system perfected by Household International and passed on to HSBC. Nothing changed in that regard. You can see previous reports on our website from years ago describing the same stalling tactic. If you are considering a loan from HFC or Beneficial Finance you should find a better alternative.
