HSBC is a TERRIBLE company says customer receiving daily phone calls
This is just one of our articles referencing HSBC complaints about mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, fees, late payment processing, and more:
JR, location not disclosed, sent this complaint about HSBC: “HFC Beneficial Finance is calling my home and waking me up, and when I pick up the phone, they hang up on me. The # 800-550-3278 is showing up on my caller ID as “unavailable”, however, I dialed the number back this AM, and after working their system (the first thing they ask for is your SSN, which I would not give them) since the system does not have an obvious option to talk to a CSR, I input enough bad #s to finally be transferred to a person.
When I asked that my phone # be placed on their “do not call” list, HSBC informed me that was not possible, despite the fact that I am on the National Do Not Call Registry. I argued with the rep for 10 minutes, and he insisted there was no way to remove my telephone number as it was not showing up in his system, and therefore was a forwarding call from another person who was a collections problem.
After I insisted on talking to his supervisor to remove my number, he finally agreed to put my number in their system so that I would no longer be called. When I asked him why he did not comply with my request initially, he told me that he had to make sure I didn’t have an account with the company. The agent’s name was CJ.
HSBC is a TERRIBLE company….they hang up on me, do not identify themselves, duck all attempts to allow a person to talk to an individual and then tell you that they cannot solve your problem, until you yell and insist that you are not getting off the phone until you talk to someone who can solve your problem.”
