GD in Montana said: “I believe that HSBC is about the most corrupt and evil banking system on the planet. Over the last four years I have spent countless hours on the phone pushing endless buttons to finally reach a person.

I have been assessed some elusive ‘cancellation fee’ but no one could or would ever explain what it was or why it was being assessed; interest rates have gone as high as 26.99 % even though a) I have NEVER been late; b) I have NEVER missed a payment and c) I have ALWAYS paid more than the minimum. This can all be verified.

When I have called to complain about my interest rate being raised yet again, the semi-English speaking person on the phone would tell me it was based on information in my credit report. WHAT INFORMATION WOULD THAT BE?

I am on time with all of my bills; always have been! What it boils down to is they raised my rates BECAUSE THEY COULD.

Last month I received another notice in microscopic print saying my rate was to go up again. Are you freakin’ kidding me? Perhaps HSBC would like me to seal my liver in an envelope and send them that, too.

This was the last straw; I went to the bank and refinanced my car, took all that money (at a nice 7 % interest rate) and paid off my Household Bank, Best Buy and Account Central cards in full. (All owned by HSBC)

I will never own an HSBC card. Capital One is the way to go! They are actually kind folks who will lower your rate, who base your interest rate on how you pay them.

I now post any time and anywhere I can the evils of HSBC. Their warm fuzzy television commercials just about make me want to hurl. I will continue to post on facebook and anywhere I can to spread the word NO HSBC CARDS IN THE US! Shut the bastards down once and for all.”
