DP in Pennsylvania said: “I agree with SM in Missouri regarding the HSBC/Best Buy online payment system. My son and I have been going back and forth with HSBC about my son’s account for more than 6 months regarding making two payments online (one on the due date and the other the day before the due date) and being charged a late fee. There is nothing written in the terms/customer agreement that payments made online on the due date or the day before the due date will not be considered on time. My son has another credit account through HSBC for Mac Tools and the Mac Tools payments made online on the due date or the day before the due date are credited as being made on time. I also borrowed from someplace else to close my husband’s HSBC Suzuki loan because of the HSBC/Best Buy situation.”
