SD in North Dakota said: “HSBC credit card services and HSBC Bank out of Nevada are scams and rip-offs! They are raising the rates to 24.99 and 29.99%! I started making credit card payments online for the first time and did not realize that it takes 2-3 days to post payment to account.

I doubled the payment on the due day and the payment won’t be posted until midnight the following day so they charged me a $39.00 late fee! When I noticed this action I called the HSBC customer service telephone number on the back of the credit card and they told me they could not waive the charge.

I have cancelled the card and will pay off the debt and will never recommend their credit cards to anyone. I will not do business with a bank that takes advantage of people in such a manipulative manner.”
