SA in California said: “I am having problems with the Costco Hsbc Retail Services card. I can mail my payment in 2 weeks before the due date and they always hold my check until the due date has passed. I am mailing my payment from Northern California and it is only going to Southern California, not across the country. All the others bills I’ve mailed make it to their destinations on time but for some reason this one never makes it until the payment is late!

Then they want me to pay a late fee. When you speak with their representatives they blame it on the postal service. How can you fight or protect yourself from this kind of abuse? I’m questioning keeping my Costco card. Why would they be working with a shady company like Hsbc Retail Services?”
