EO in New Jersey says: “I purchase furniture from a retail establishment which used HBSC to offer 1 year deferred payment. Each monthly bill indicates $0 amount due, INCLUDING THE ONE THAT HAS FINE PRINT AT BELOW INFORMING YOU THAT YOUR DEFERRED PAYMENT PERIOD IS UP. It is not until the next bill which includes the 12 month finance charge, is there an amount due listed in the amount due box. This is misleading, deliberate I am sure, to catch people who forget the exact date of purchase of the item, 12 months ago.”
