Still in possion of my credit card four or more months ago, I was able to email them, offering to make a monthly payment of no more than $25.00 until the legitimate amount of debt was paid, approximately $900.00, after which I immediately cut my card to ribbons and trashed it.
I am a senior and my total income, Social Security, is less than $ 12,000 annually.
I am still getting email from HSBC to contact them.
Were I stupid enough to call them, which would not remove ther bogus claim of purchases, I no longer have the card and my only info per my account number is that I remember the last four digits.
I am angry at being put in this position of a good will payment offer being ignored.”
