NM in Georgia said: “My mom bought furniture from Rhodes Furniture and I paid it all back in the time. I had a no interest deal. I changed my house and ask them to send the payment there. I had a $220.00 balance out of $5000 and HSBC never changed the address even though I sent the change of address by certified mail with delivery confirmation. HSBC / Rhodes Furniture went back and charged me nearly $3000 interest on a $5000 purchase and reported to my credit. Now they are nowhere to be found. I am stuck with this on my Credit.. CAN anyone help me find their number?”
Editors Note: We’ve said for years that a change of address sent to HSBC (HSBC Finance) is an invitation for disaster. It still is, and regulators – in this case the FTC – has never investigated the problem. Send your certified mail and delivery confirmation information to your attorney general, along with every other example that you can find on our website. There must be over 100 of them.
