GD in Nevada said: “I have a loan with HFC Beneficial that originated in Denver, CO in 2001, then I refinanced and a new loan was issued (with more money of course) and that one started in 2003 or 2004. Right now my balance is $15,000. My payment is $333/month.

Due to lack of work, (independent contractor-court reporter) in beginning of May 2009, I called to get on HFC Beneficial hardship program. Oh, no problem they said. You should hear something in a couple of weeks. I wanted to be pro-active since I knew a payment was coming up due in June, and was hoping to get the reduced payment starting for that month.

Well, lo and behold, never heard anything back for a couple of weeks, so called again…to India???? I have so many phone numbers and departments written down on who I talked to. Anyways, when I called to find out status, I was told the paperwork was never submitted, had no record, even though the person I talked to in May took all my info down over the phone.

By this time, I was irate…talked to whoever it was and she was so rude, she acted like she was doing me a favor when I became upset, that she could process my paperwork over the phone right then and there…which had already been down 2 wks before.

When that was complete, I told her I could not make the full pament for June, because now the hardship program wouldn’t take effect until July. She said to pay what I could, so I paid the hardship program amount, $165.50, in June, even though that was a partial payment. That’s all I could do.

I then called the department that I had originally called in May, and another rude CSR said that they were the hardship program, and not the other department which I just got done speaking to and getting myself on the hardship program???? Whatever. So this department tells me that it takes 2-4 wks to process paperwork after i asked how long it takes, when originally I was told 2 wks. I was sooo frustrated after that call!!!

Anyways, today, 7/20/09, I just get a call from some CSR at HFC Beneficial saying I’m overdue $165.50, because of not making that full payment in June. I told him I don’t care, you people messed it all up in the beginning and do whatever you gotta do…I’m done with it. And he just said okay and hung up…boy, are they teaching them manners now at HFC??? LOL

Something has got to be done with this company. Everything I’ve read online of complaints from people who have loans from this company is negative, negative, negative.

How can they still be in business??? Please, make sure they’re run to the ground, just like they have done all their customers.

Thank you.”
