KS in New Hampshire said: “Household Bank ruined my vacation. I posted a rush payment on June 26th for $1600 to cover my card use during my June 29th – July 4th vacation with the family at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. The $1600 payment was removed from my checking account on June 29th yet my $1600 payment did not get credited to my account until July 7th.

You can imagine my embarrassment when I went to use my Household platinum card at the hotel and it was denied.

I would like my rush payment fee refunded. I would also like a customer service manager to call me (603-724-3805) to explain to me why Household held my payment for a week after the payment was removed from my checking account while all other banks post payments within 2 business days.

I ended up draining my checking account to pay for the vacation and now I am not able to pay my mortgage payment.

I called to request a PIN for a cash advance to get my money back, but that will not be for at least another week and a half. Have banks lost all regard for their customers?”
