PG in Oklahoma said: “I have been trying for 4 months for someone to explain to me why I am being assessed a late fee. When I originally obtained my line of credit loan, I requested the unemployment insurance (in 2005). I had 3 years of on-time payments (mostly more than the required amount) and when I was laid off in 2008, I had to request the insurance take over my payments.
Since that time I have been assessed a late fee for the past 4 months. I cannot get anyone to tell me why. I am constantly being transferred to other departments that know nothing about my loan, given numbers that don’t even exist or disconnected completely.
I received my statement yesterday for June, 2009 and again I am be assesed a late fee. My payment for May was made prior to the payment date (and shows paid on the statement) and was for more than the required payment.
I am frustrated beyond belief trying to get a response from HSBC.”
