PB in Ohio said: “In Feb or Mar of 2009, I was trying to get back on my feet, after being unemployed for 5 mos, denied un-employment, no income except food stamps…..hope that you haven’t ever experienced it, or ever have to. I authorized HSBC to take two payment’s, on two different dates.
The first one went OK, but they took the second pymt out of my bank acct before the authorized date, causing me a $30.00 overdraw fee from my bank & another $35.00 fee from the POS. They re-embursed me for the $30.00 bank fee, I spoke to them via telephone about the $35.00 POS fee (it was my rent payment!).
HSBC asked me to fax them a copy of the invoice from the apt manager, I did this on two different dates. When I asked about the first invoice I had fax’d them, they said that it was never scanned, therefore never put into the computer, that’s why I had to send them a second fax.
To this date, I haven’t gotten a straight from HSBC. I realize that this may seem like a small problem for most people, but I’m a 60 yr old hard-working women, trying to make ends meet.
Thank you for your time. If you can help me, or if you need to have me send you any further documents, I will be happy to co-operate, just as I have co-operated with HSBC. In my opinion, HSBC has been allowed to become a Giant Money-Grabbing Monster taking American Jobs overseas etc, etc, etc.”
